Open Call for Endorsement for Highland Park Council
Highland Park Democratic Committee Convention
The Highland Park Democratic Committee is convening a convention on March 10, 2024 to determine its endorsements for the candidates seeking the Democratic Party nomination for two Borough Council seats (3 year terms beginning January 1, 2025). All candidates must be residents of Highland Park for at least a year by the upcoming general election, and be registered voters affiliated with the Democratic Party at the time of the convention.
Our convention will begin on March 10, 2024 at 6pm over Zoom to screen for our 2 Council endorsements.
Resumes and up to two *optional* letters of reference must be received by March 3rd.

District Seat Endorsement For the Highland Park Democratic Committee
The Highland Park Democratic Committee is composed of 26 members of our community who were elected to four-year terms to represent each of our 13 voting districts. More details about our role can be found in our bylaws on our website.
We invite interested parties to submit a letter of interest for a 4-year term starting after the June 2023 primary election to the executive committee, care of Diane Reh, Chair of the Highland Park Democratic Committee, HPDemocraticCommittee@gmail.com. Please specify your district and statement of interest.
Successful candidates must agree to collect and timely submit nominating petitions to the clerk.

The Highland Park Democratic Committee is convening a convention on March 1st, 2023 to endorse candidates for Mayor and Council (2 seats). All candidates must be residents of Highland Park for at least a year (by the upcoming general election) and registered Democrats.
Our convention will begin on March 1st at 7:30pm over Zoom to screen for our Mayoral endorsement. Then there will be a planned recess until March 12th at 6pm over Zoom to screen for our 2 Council endorsements.
Anyone screening for Mayoral endorsement can, if they wish, also be considered for the Council endorsement. Successful candidates must agree to collect and timely submit nominating petitions to the clerk.
Resumes and up to two optional letters of reference must be received by February 22.

The Middlesex County Democratic Organization will be hosting a virtual Countywide Convention on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, beginning at 5:30 PM. At this convention, the MCDO’s County Committee Members will decide on whom the organization will endorse for the following offices:

County Sheriff
County Commissioners
